When you’re hauling heavy gear, you need brakes that respond instantly and stop smoothly. These DeeMaxx 13" disc brakes deliver strong, controlled braking thanks to their 1-piece hub-and-rotor assemblies and ceramic pads. Built for 8,000-lb axles with a #42 spindle and 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, they provide short stopping distances and consistent braking power that keeps your tow stable and steady.

Rust can ruin a brake system fast—especially around saltwater. The Maxx coating on the hub-rotors, calipers, and brackets holds up for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray testing, far exceeding zinc or Dacromet finishes. Drainage holes in the hat section let water escape quickly, cutting down on trapped moisture and corrosion. It’s the kind of protection you need for long-term reliability in wet or brackish conditions.
Steep grades and heavy loads generate a lot of heat. The vented rotor design moves air through the assembly to dissipate heat faster, reducing brake fade and prolonging pad life. Combined with a stainless steel piston for quick response and consistent pressure, these brakes stay cool under load so you can tow confidently mile after mile.

Each component comes ready to bolt on so you can handle the swap yourself without extra parts runs. The kit covers one axle with two Maxx coat hub-rotor assemblies, calipers, brackets, bearings, races, grease seals, E-Z Lube caps, wheel bolts, and stainless lug nuts. Laser-etched instructions on the caliper show you how to bleed the brakes when it’s time for service—no manual required.

DeeMaxx builds these brakes to the same standards used in automotive testing. They’re the only trailer brakes to pass the SAE J2681 friction test—a benchmark for consistent stopping performance. With high-quality cast iron components and a 7-year warranty, this kit is made to deliver dependable braking season after season.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch Hub and Rotor Assembly Kit, with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern, the five eighths inch diameter studs. These have a Maxx coating on them and it's for 8,000 pound axles. Now this kit here will let you upgrade your trailer from drum to disc brakes for superior performance. It will include everything I have laid out here on the table. Starts with the two Maxx coat, cast iron hub and rotor assemblies with the pre-installed bearing races.
The two inner bearings, the two outer bearings, the two grease seals, the two easy lube grease caps, 16 of the five eighths inch by 18 size lug nuts, two of the Maxx coated calipers, with brake pads and bolts, and two of the max coat caliper mounting brackets. Now this kit will also require a hydraulic brake actuator that's rated at 1500 PSI or above and the brake lines to activate the brakes. Those items we do sell separately. This kit here is great for towing and launching your boat in fresh or brackish type water. The corrosion resistant max coat finish on the hub rotors, the Calipers and the brackets, all have a salt spray rating over 1000 hours.
What's nice is on the one piece hub and rotors, you can see these holes in the side of the hat section, that allows water to drain easily. Those are drainage holes, helps further minimize corrosion. Now this kit will offer dramatically shorter stopping distances and smooth controlled braking. The brake pads, which are in the calipers, they are ceramic brake pads. They'll increase your stopping power and they do use two and a quarter inch diameter stainless steel pistons, to provide a fast responsive braking.
This kit does require minimal maintenance. It'll save you time and money. One of the nice features on this, I wanted to zoom in and just show you on the calipers themselves. You can see what they've done, is they've actually laser etched instructions to take the guesswork out of installing and even bleeding The brakes. You can see they're etched on the calipers themselves.
Now the hub and rotors, these are a one piece hub and rotor assembly, so it reduces the chance of uneven rotor wear. The vented design right here, the vents that go all the way around, these will help dissipate the heat faster, prevent premature brake pad wear. And they use, they are a high quality, automotive grade construction, which is long lasting. The fit for this kit, it fits the axles of the Dexter 8,000 pound axles, with the number 42 spindle. The wheel size that'll fit on this is 16 inches and larger. We mentioned the bolt pattern of eight on six and a half inches wheel bolt diameter of five eights of an inch, which will accept the five eighths inch lug nuts. The rotor diameter itself is 13 inches. And if you look at the caliper brackets, you notice these have four bolt holes on them, so they are designed to fit onto a brake flange on your axle. That's a four bolt configuration. But that's gonna do it for a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch Hub and Rotor Assembly Kit with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern, five eighths inch studs, and the Maxx coating.
